C. A. Journey

All my friends would crib about their Articleship, boss and the fight,
But I always felt lucky being in your firm and thanks to you that you made this journey so delight.

You always cared like an elder and gave me the knowledge we needed.
But when I did mistakes I also got scolded.

No I haven't forgot that you even praised me for the good work I did.
And the way this journey has become so splendid.

You made me smile in your own humorous way and I enjoyed those moments thoroughly.
You allowed me to leave on time for my class so that I can even study sincerely.

You builded the passion in audit and made me learn taxation.
These were just subjects before you taught me their practical implication.

I tried to help you as much possible by giving my best and it was possible for you helped me to learn the rest of the best.

Thanks for keeping the patience till I learned,
I'm happy with the knowledge I have earned.

I had fun working with you and it seemed like a boon.
I hope you always remain happy and may we meet sometimes soon.

They say happy times pass very soon and now I believe that its true,
as these 3 years passed like wind flew.

I enjoyed this journey for you were good and helpful and understood me in all ways.
Hence I learned to love my work always.

You have had articles in past and will have many in future too but I had only one boss that too so sweet and all thanks to you.

I felt it best being your subordinate hope I made you happy too,
I will always remember you hope you will remember me too.

This was the Poem I wrote for my boss!

Will Miss it.

Got leave from office and finally in a way the journey of Articleship has ended. These 3.5 years passed by very soon, I wonder. The last day was too tough to handle, looking at my boss I was getting too emotional about this whole thing of last day.
Finally, a thing that I will not regret is that I did few special things for him that I wanted to. Mostly, I just end up thinking about things and day just pass by without me actually doing those things, sometimes out of shyness or sometimes just laziness or postponement end up in me doing nothing and just keeping the plans on paper and finally they die. But this time I did it! :)
I planned to give him a greeting card to say that he was one of the best persons I have met and he was actually a mentor who guided me in the best possible way anyone could expect.
So, I bought a greeting and planned to give it with chocolates. Suddenly a day before last day some thoughts came up in my mind and I quickly grabbed my cell out of my bag and started typing the words in a flow. And finally ended up making a poem sorts for my boss and the journey of my Articleship.
Oh! I can remember how my boss became speechless when I was about to leave. He did not even look at me during whole day. In last moment he came from his seat and sat next to me and just started chatting about general stuffs. I felt good talking to him, as it made me feel less emotional. When I sit silently I get too emotional. When I keep talking it gets easy to hide emotions.
When I stood up, as it was time to leave, I was not finding words to ask him and he was looking like he wanted to say something but not getting words to express himself.
I lifted my bag and finally for the last time asked for his permission to leave. He simply nodded and I remembered that during whole period of my Articleship how he  always taunted me for leaving early for my class and I would just ignore his comments and laughingly walk out of office.
He was like an elder brother, always cared for me, at audits I would use his name for getting things done in my way, and whenever client would ask him to confirm if he had said any such thing he always supported without any prior settings with him. He would purposely irritate me by asking questions repeatedly again and again and finally stop only when I give him a bad look. I always respected him like I respect my teachers.
He always supported me and gave importance to me in front of clients. Whenever he would get a call from a client to whom he don't want to talk he would give it to me to tell he was busy, and I would do that for him very convincingly.
When I didn't get P.C. to work he would give his P. C. to me. Once, I was working on his P.C. he wanted some information, I was working and wanted to finish my work before leaving for class and I asked him to wait for few min and he waited but then I forgot that he was waiting and kept doing my work, finally he went to another employee, cribbing that I'm not giving him details and I realised oops! He is my boss and it's his P.C.
He always judged me correctly that I love audits and hence always preferred me assigning audits over my other colleagues! But he would also give me so many queries to answer and I would wonder as if I was writing Audit paper, after that answering him orally would give me feel of oral examination of audit. We were audit freak! ;) :P
He never used his authority on us. He would purposely taunt me, but that too to show off that he is the boss! We would enjoy his this behavior very joyfully! Nothing was ever serious between us, not even his scoldings, after few minutes he himself would come and tell how to do things for whatever wrong I do.
He is such a jolly person and the best thing about him is that he never ever take out others anger on somebody else. If he is angry on phone on something wrong done by somebody and after he hung up if I'm to interact with him, he totally forgets about that worry and judge me on my deeds.
I'll miss his bad jokes which would actually make me laugh. All his unique features, his gujju tone, his speed of working, I wish if I could ever be hyper active in working like him! I had never seen him in a lazy mood or sleepy, never ever! He is the person who is always alive and so speedy that I could never match up with his speed.
I'll miss my Articleship.
I'll miss my boss.
I'll miss my office colleagues.
Lucky me to have a boss like him and articleship like this.

I'm still alive

I was on audit at G. T. B Nagar, it's in Harbour Line. I had to report at 9.30am. I left from home around 7.45am. All was well. I got the desired fast train to reach Kurla in the expected time and then I got ticket for G. T. B. Nagar and boarded train as well. Its just next station from Chunabhatti.
I was standing in the train and was waiting eagerly for it to start but it did not listen to me but soon I listened an announcement that there was some problem in that route and passengers are allowed to go from other route i.e. from Sandust Road. I got down and crossed the bridge and reached the platform from where I can get the other routes train, though it was too long cut  but could not think much on it and was waiting for the fast train towards C. S. T. to come, so that I can get reach Byculla and then from there again get down to slow route and go to Sandust Road and from there finally to G. T. B. Nagar Station.
Train was to arrive, there was crowd than usual, or may be not, but since I had never boarded train from Kurla that I felt its crowded. Train stopped, people quickly got down, those who wanted to and others quickly started getting in like me. I struggled hard to get in and with my right hand I grabbed the middle rod and with other hand one of the doors handle. I didn't had space to keep any of my foot. My colleague was to my left and she too was in such condition. She then asked if we should leave this train as there was no place. She still had her footstep on the foot board, I was struggling to keep at least one foot. Before I could decide to get down, the train slowly picked up and finally I answered my colleague that train has started and we would not be able to get down, our back was facing the platform. We were asking people to get inside. I was still struggling to keep my foot. Finally my right foots toe found some place. Soon I noticed that I'm too much hanging out of the train. I was in the very first ladies car towards C. S. T. There was one luggage car between the first ladies and the drivers cabin. The boys were shouting at me to get in quickly, on the other side my colleague was shouting that she will fall. The boys again shouted that there are pillars and if I were to hang out this much I would surely get hit by them. I leaned my body inside quickly as much possible, as I saw one of the pillar approaching. Finally boys asked the driver to halt the train for I was not able to help myself much. There was no place for me to get in. I was still on one toe but my hands had good grip. The train stopped in between for few minutes. Ladies in front of me were begging others that were ahead of them, to get inside for I was in danger.
My colleague was too shouting out and was almost in about to cry situation. Soon there was some space. I could now keep my both footsteps in the train. My colleague got in completely. Train again started, slowly. I was still on the door, but with fair space, some inquired if I'm fine? Some scolding that I should not take this much risk! Boys were still staring and advising that I should get in quickly and not wait and hang till the last moment. I was not able to control myself and was only smiling at them for unknown reasons, if you would know me, it's my normal behavior. I always smile :) Boys were staring me with a question mark on their face as to I'm some mad person. I thanked them. My colleague was looking at me and I could see her, she was shivering. Looking me laughing, she too smiled. Boys were still looking at me that I'm smiling, they don't know me so they were very much puzzled. As, if there would have been any other girl in my condition she would have till now cried buckets of tears according to one of the Aunt. Soon my stop was to come and I got in heading towards the next door where the station would come. There was so much of crowd. People inside were asking me, if I was the one who was hanging and I was nodding. Then they gave me all their  advice, some got angry as if I did it purposely. Never mind, I heard all of them patiently. Finally I got down and thought that finally there would not be any more questions and wise advice. But before I could conclude this relief one girl inquired if I was fine? and I replied that I didn't got hurt and am very fine.
My colleague was getting emotional about all this even though she was to my left and she had both her footsteps on the train and was still shouting at the top of her voice and there was me who was relaxed even though others panicked looking me and that too if boys react so seriously it indicates that the matter was actually serious. She was looking at my face and I was still smiling.

We then boarded train from Sandust Road to our final destination. And we reached the audit place at 11.30am where we would have reached if things would have worked well around 9.45am.
So plans change!

I miss it :(

I'm missing S. S. Sirs inspirational Lectures like anything. The way he use to inspire us in each and every lecture of his. The way he use to guide us on how we should plan our studies, and many such things.
It use to give me a boost to study. Now that he don't teach us I'm feeling very SAD about it. Saddest part is haven't yet opened Audit Module, where as in PCC by now I had completed first reading of all chapters of Audit on my own and also asked him so many doubts.
I asked him several times to take up something but then I guess he is busy with his set up of his Business and in teaching IPCC batches. I wished if I we would have had him for any of the subjects. Though I'm in touch with him through phone calls but haven't met him personally since past a year I guess! Either of us are busy whenever we plan.
Miss you Sirji. :(
Sorry, for this leniency! :(

What eyes see is not always true...

Yesterday, I boarded train from Thane, was on Audit. There was rush, as usual! I got in and luckily I got the seat. There was this young Girl of around 8-9yrs and she was standing in the middle of the crowd. People were pushing like anything. I noticed the girl, there was bag on her shoulders which was open and there were few books in her hand. May be a school girl, I guessed. I got up some how and tried to fetch the girl. She was quite away that my hands were out of her reach. I some how threw my hands to call her. Her back was towards me. Finally I reached out for her. She looked at me, I offered her seat, she smiled at me. I got confused! I again asked her to take the seat, as the train was too pack and she might get injured. She said, NO! and nodded her head.
Then I noticed that, she took the money from one of the lady, she sold one of the drawing book she was holding. That bag was not open but the chain was broken & cannot be closed. she sell those books that were in her hand and she isn't a student but a Vendor!
I could not stop wondering, that she was selling the books which she should have used for herself at this age, instead of her, her Parents should have hanged that Bag on their shoulders and should have taken her to school, like that of most of ours do (did).
I'm helpless, as I have always been...
It kills ME in me

September Season!

...well as everyone, I mean at least all those belonging to my field of education knows what this month mean to us! Indeed, I'm busy with my Tax Audits and then with the finalisation, but Man! I'm just loving it!
I'm enjoying my work like anything. In fact, today it was 4pm and then I realised that I didn't had my lunch! Mom, would definitely kill me, if she know about it! (I'm taking risk with you all, so don't go and tell her, okay!)
Not that my Boss made me work so, but I wanted to complete my work before I leave for evening class, so I was trying to complete it no time, as well as, I felt it very interesting as well.
I have become workoholic! But that's ME in me after all...
Keep working, enjoy the September and keep up the good work. Learn a lot, teach a lot and work a lot!
Chao! :)

Help any...

As an Advisor: These days I'm giving too much advice to people. Few of them want to know about how to go about with C.A. Final studies, those who have recently cleared their IPCC. Few months back, I received one message from an unknown on fb, purely in this regard, and I gave him advice, even accepted his friendship request as well. But the Boy had been true in this regard as of. Feeling better, that we have as on
talked only on subject matters! (He is the only unknown in my friends list!)
Few people, whom I meet at client place ask me about Commerce as a stream, because their kids had  recently cleared their SSC or are in one! One of the Director seek advice on this, I talked to him for almost an hour, keeping aside my Audit! (My Boss would probably kill me for this! Shhh...!!!)
Many a times my brothers, my Mom, friends try to seek advice from me, I give it as well. Hmm... So I guess, I can become a good advisor!
Audit tips: Yesterday, one of the friend called me, was on audit and wanted some help, I gave her tips for more than an hour! Finally I hung up as I too had work! Few days back my Best friend was to go on one Audit of a Private Limited, she had never been to one as of where as luckily I had been to few of them. I designed her the whole Audit Program, filled in 4 pages on what all things should be looked in. In fact I was feeling like going with the friend and do the whole Audit and teach practically how it should be done, obviously that was not possible. But I love Audits like anything...
So I give Audit tips to my Friends, they know what Auditing mean to me, and when I need one obviously I go to S.S. Sir, he always help me, I call him up anytime and he do advice me. He is one of the Best persons whom I've met in this journey of C.A.!
Planner: I prepare plans for those who can't by themselves, I feel like, planning flows in my blood. Once I came across my 8th std. Books and saw my study plan, I wondered how much addicted to plan!
Overall, I think I can convince people very easily. They agree to what I say.
Thanks to all of them for trusting me. May I keep helping, as I love helping people irrespective of they being associated to me or unknowns, I help as long as I could. In fact we all should. After all we live in a society where anybody can need anyone at any given point in time and helping without expecting them to help back in future is okay, but expecting help without helping them is not right.
Keep up the good work! :)

I support your decision...

Today I came to know something more than this about her. That she is only 35! I can't imagine this. And could not stop myself from asking that why didn't she married again? She have almost all her life ahead, to which she said that, I don't want to forget my husband, the person he was, the life we shared together.
And this was what I said that "I support your decision."
I know life would be difficult but then it'll be the way she wants to live and not the way it should ideally be. Sure it was difficult for her to convince her family but she finally conquered it all.
I'm HAPPY for her.
May GOD BLESS her! :)

An emotional trap!

Each time I'm assigned an Audit, the first thing I decide is that I'll maintain only Professional relations with the people with whom I'll meet and interact and no attachments with anyone. But then people try to form it. Indeed, succeed as well.  They somehow trap me into different emotions and I fail and finally fall into it. (Don't worry even here they are girls only, always! :p) At every single Audit that I've done, there isn't even single one where the Accountant would not have said me that, if in future I get into practice then I should give them job in my office, that too without any interview, this was special request of the accountant of very previous audit, she had interview phobia. :) Then few want me to give them good Salary, more leaves, etc etc. Anything which they think has flaw in their current job they want that thing for them. Okay sure, is all what I say, I take it lightly. But then today was not something of that sorts. The Accounts Manager asked me chocolate for my good result. Then she asked me that, this time she is accepting chocolates but when I clear my C. A. Final I should meet her and give her sweets. I didn't wanted to say YES, for the sake of saying. So I said that, I can't promise but I'll try. Then she immediately asked that, will I forget her completely in future? I was confused as to now what I should say? So, I said that, my articleship will be over and I won't be coming next time for the Audit at their office and that this is my work, I go to different places and meet different people and then after few days I'm back to office. So it's mostly short term for all.
She is very emotional person, I didn't wanted to hurt her but it is like this. If she will get emotionally attached to me then one day I'll end up breaking her heart, though unintentionally but still.

Chocolate Day. Yummy!!!

Day before yesterday, i.e. The day after the result, resulted very
Chocolaty... :)
At the client place everyone came to know that I had a result the day
before so they all wanted chocolate from me, though I wasn't that
interested. But still I bought the half kg pack of eclairs and
distributed to them, myself had few, the remaining I gave to my
friends at class. They were all happy for me. One of my friend with
whom I walk to my home gave me one dairy milk. When I reached home bro
told that there is one fruit-n-nut for me which his friend gave for my
positive result.
The whole day was chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. Wow! Only I know
how much I love to eat chocolates! But I got all dairymilk. But I love
5star. Never mind it was their love and I respect it. :) even now
having chocolate while writing this post. Are you Jealous? Should be,
that is what I'm intending to by posting this post. :p ;)

Mr. Late is better than Late Mr.

Read this slogan near Kopar Station and few days back, implemented as well! :D
Was with the director and we were discussing few points with regards to the Audit which I'm recently doing. My watch showed, time to leave but while discussing things you just can't stand up all of sudden and say that you want to leave as you have class. It's secondary then, work also needs dedication. Finally when I left there was only one chance if I would have caught this particular train it would have dropped me on time. I rushed very hard and reached on time as well soon before train was to arrive and even the crowd was like any other normal day. It was time to board and as soon as I caught the pillar of the door and was about to step up, train started. These new local trains picks up speed very quickly. I immediately left the pillar because there was no place to keep even single leg and I would have fallen out of it. Have never tried such a thing before nor intend to. But have seen people doing such dangerous acts some succeed some fail, the cost can be your life. I can't gamble with it. Hence prefered being late than being Late.
So I guess, getting late sometimes because of some uncertain reasons is okay that trying to play with your life.
Though I'm still sad about it but can't help... :(

Addicted!

I'm addicted to Coffee...
Whenever anyone ask me for the Coffee, all I say is, Yes, why not!
No matter how many cups I have had before, each one coming is accepted, happily.
Though I hardly find any Coffee better than I can make but this time the coffee that is served to me at the Audit place is comparatively good.
Cheers! :)

Sometimes you want to ask something but you don't find anyone to answer it

Today, life has taught me some lessons.
Recently, I'm at an Audit of a Private Limited Co., where I met this person, who is the head of the Accounts department. She is working with this organisation since past 15 years. I sit next to her, as I can approach her for my queries very easily, if she's nearby. I'm meeting her since past 10 days. But today, out of our general talks, I very commonly asked her how many kids she have? She said that she have none! I was embarrassed, but then I never expected that something like this would happen, if I ask somebody such a common question. I asked her then why don't she adopt a child? She was looking very sad, I cursed to myself for interfering into her personal matter. She didn't mind my question and just nodded a, NO! To change the topic, I asked something which complicated things more than before. I asked her what did her husband do? And I was shocked to know that her husband was no more in this world.
Two years back it so happened that her husband was watching T. V. and she was in the kitchen, all of sudden he got an attack and all he could do was just call out her name, she ran to watch out as to what has happened and he was unconscious by the time she reached out for him. She immediately took him to the hospital. Doctors declared that her husband had a brain hammerage and then he was in comma for 5 days.
Her eyes started watering while telling this incident to me. I wanted to stop her so that she don't get hurt more by remembering all that had happened to her. But then I didn't had courage to say anything. I was dumb, was not able to move nor I was in the state of knowing what should be done in such situations? I thought that may be I should give her my ears, may be she need a listener who can listen to all she want to say, may be she wanted to get that feeling out from her. Sometimes we seriously need somebody who can just listen to us, so was I doing. She continued that how after 5 days of critical situation her husband never recovered nor he said any last words, his last words were only those when he had the attack, i.e. he called out her name.
After all this sudden collapse of her dreams, she was into depression. But her Mother-in-law was the one who supported her the most. In fact, she after her husbands death removed all her accessories, which in our Hindus tradition we consider as symbol of married women. But her mother-in-law refused and in front of every one she declared that her daughter-in-law will continue to live as she lived before. In fact she wears the Mangalsutra and a bindi even today, that is why I didn't expected that something like this would have happened with her! Her mother-in-law in fact asked her that if she wants she can get married once again. But she said me that, she never wanted to be with anybody but her husband, that she had always loved him and will always love him only. She got married in an early age and her husband always supported her, that she will never have a person like him. He was the one whom she loved and still loves.
You see, love doesn't die with the person. It remains alive forever.
She was thankful the way her staff and her family helped her out to come out of this tragedy. She was upset that she had been married to only 15years and God took it away all from her. She is a great preacher of God. She day and night prays to God, her belief is that he exists. But after all this she doubt if God has ever recognised her prayers? Had he, he would not have given her so much pain. But still even though her whole life turned upside-down but still she prays to God. She says that, I can't resist God! And that sometimes out of frustration she do asks God as to why he took aways all happiness from her life?
But we know that there is no body who could answer to our questions. Are we not having one sided conversation? We express ourselves to God and he just remains SILENT always!
Why it happens that the person who have more faith in God is the one who suffers more? They say that God examine their faith in that way.
I think that it's good that I don't do much in these regards but am living without expecting from God! Even if you do, we can see what happens then...
I am not afraid of anybody, can't take things the way they comes. Why should we be slaves of somebody? Better I live it in my own way without  asking  begging anything from anyone even if you do, you will not get any but you will mere expect that they might happen and then end up being sad because they will not.
Everything is already written and things will happen in that fashion only, no matter how hard you try to change them.

July 20, 2011

Take it, I don't care much!

I can't stop myself from laughing on few things people do especially for such trivial matters like an audit assignment. I believe in this saying that, "you always get what you deserve and not what you desire."
My boss gave me an audit which is a big one compared to others and he said me to handle it. I agreed as well, now to one of my colleague was a bit uncomfortable and got very insecure with it. This was not the first time that she had this feeling for I got an assignment. She didn't talk to me, I knew what the reason could be. I was normally interacting to her I neither tried to ask her as to what has happened nor tried to console for her feelings. The next day she went to the boss and said him that she want the other audit which was the next big after the one which I got. I was just observing the scene and the way she had asked it. Boss for the moment said that we'll see it later but she literally said this that I could not even imagine in my dreams that "No, Sir I know you will give all audits to her but even I want to learn!" The pitch of her voice was above the level for any boss to bear still my boss is a humble person and said, okay I want the work to be done and doesn't matter who does it. I was as usual looking at the interaction and when my boss looked at me I just gave him a smile to which I meant, it's okay with me don't worry. As of she had been to audits even more than me because last year due to severe Jaundice I missed out almost all the audits and she was the one who did them plus I had never done the audit which she had asked for. So may be she was right in guessing that probably my boss would have given it to me. But then that would be his wish isn't it? It's he who would analyse and fill in the requirements of the work. I got no problem, as such, to me all this is very little things to fight for with anybody or to be sad about. The saddest part is that she had that insecurity against me and actually snatched it. Never mind, as I said take it away as much you can, they might not give me that much pleasure as much insecurity or sadness it gives to you.
So better you get it. Probably your sadness got more value than my not feeling anything much about it. I was still normal with all that happened and then she had this apology that she wanted to do it so she had asked for it. I said it's okay if you want I can say no to the one I've got, it just doesn't matter to me more and for that matter I haven't done that as well which you had asked for so in a way even I'm losing, isn't it? But then you cannot always get what you wish. And likewise if you are talking about experience thing, then what if you would not have been here still you would not have got all this. We actually forget the big picture and live in moments rather die for them. Huh, as I said few things are out of order and it includes this as well that I'll let things come to me but will never snatch it from anybody nor can behave so. But surely she had made me realise that it's high time that I must realize this that people will first think of themselves and should not feel bad that they don't care for you and could be sad knowing you getting more that themselves. Can remember the 3 Idiots dialogue that said that, it's difficult to know that you have scored less but more difficult is to know that your friend has got a rank. As of this I never believed into it but now have to or rather I should start accepting it. Though I have always been happy when my friends managed to clear in the 1st attempt but I could not and that time they were not comfortable in talking to me or expressing their happiness of passing but then I took the efforts and talked to them congratulated them from my heart and was really happy that they could, even though I could not. Because that's everyone luck and hard work, is what I feel. Feels good that I am who I am.
Disclaimer: In no way intending to prove myself superior nor trying to prove others small but an incident to remember so that don't get hurt the next time something of such sort happen to me in this long life. Surely everyone will think of them first. Better I should stop expecting from them the feelings and emotions I have for them.
Though I'm indifferent in my behavior after all this. I'm the same ME no matter who do what!!!!   :)
